Welcome to Seymour Baseball.

As the Seymour Baseball Association, our mission is to develop and support programs for our youth that
provide quality baseball instruction, offer competitive playing opportunities, and maintain baseball
facilities that enhance the playing experience. Our goal is to develop the baseball player, while at the
same time helping our youth reach their potential as individuals and as teammates, while demonstrating
good character and sportsmanship.

* Registration is payable by Credit Card only. Each family will need to pay a $100 Concession deposit payable by Cash, Check or Credit Card (your card will be charged & then refunded after your requirement is met). Check or Cash will be returned after your requirement is met.*

TEE LEAGUE (4-5)

Practices/Games will be held 2 times per week. Exact days of the week and times will be announced
at parent meeting.
For this program to be successful Parents Coaches are Needed. Please consider volunteering.
Season starts early May and ends the last week of June
Players must be 4 years old by June 1. No Exceptions
Tee League is an introductory baseball league, which intends to let the players learn the basic skills
of throwing, fielding and hitting in a positive, non-competitive environment.
The players will practice one night a week and play games one night a week.
All equipment will be provided except for fielders gloves.
Parents are encouraged to go onto the field to help youngsters as they learn the rules and skills of
baseball.
Practices and Games will be at Lake Park Diamond #2 (Enter by Wallys)

 

PEE WEE LEAGUE (5-6)

Practices/Games will be held 2 times per week. Exact days of the week and times will be announced
at parent meeting.
For this program to be successful Parents Coaches are Needed. Please consider volunteering.
Season starts early May and ends last week of June
This is a coach pitch league.
The Pee Wee baseball league is designed for boys ages 5 & 6. The purpose of this league is to
introduce baseball to boys in an atmosphere that promotes fun and enjoyment.
The players will practice one night a week and play games one night a week.
The Pee Wee league follows basic rules except for the following:
- There are no called balls and strikes, therefore, no base on balls are awarded.
- The batting order continues until everyone has batted before returning to the top of the order.
- An inning is over when the offense makes three outs or when everyone in the batting order bats in
that particular inning.
- Players may use a tee to hit off if they desire.
- Otherwise a soft underhand or overhand toss will be pitched to each batter.
All games will last 3 or 4 innings or 45 minutes.
Practices and Games will be at Lake Park Diamond #2 (Enter by Wallys)

 

LITTLE LEAGUE (7-8 years)

Practices/Games will be held 2 times per week. Exact days of the week and times will be announced
at parent meeting.
For this program to be successful Parents Coaches are Needed. Please consider volunteering.
Season starts early May and ends the last week of June.
The 7 & 8 Little League will be a transitional level from Pee Wee to 9 & 10's.
This league is machine pitch (Louisville Slugger Blue Flame Ultimate Pitching Machine UPM 45).
Players will be given approximately 8 pitches to hit the ball. No bunting allowed.
10 players will be on the field with subs filling in every other inning.
The main focus in this league will be working on the basic fundamentals such as fielding, throwing,
and hitting at a more advanced level than Pee Wee.
The introduction of a hard ball will also be different from Pee Wee to prepare players for their later
years in baseball.
Each individual will get a chance to play all the positions on the field throughout the season.
The SBA will provide bats, helmets, and catching gear to the players as needed.
Parents are also encouraged to help out with score, keeping the players in the correct batting order,
and helping the players get the catchers gear on.
Practices and Games will be at Lake Park Diamond #2 (Enter by Wallys)
Later in the season we may travel to play a game against Black Creek, and they may come to
Seymour to play. The game at Seymour will be on Diamond 4 at Rock Ledge Park.

 

8U Tournament Team Add-On (8U Tournament Team Players must also register for 7-8 Little
League)

For team members of the 8U Tournament Team who have been notified already. The tryout process
has already been completed for this year.
Only select this option if your child is on the 8U Tournament Team and is also participating in an SBA
summer league program.
8U Tournament Team players must also register for and participate in Little League (7-8).
Tournament team families are required to volunteer with concessions during the home
tournament.

Creek summer league program.
8U Tournament Team players must also register for and participate in Little League (7-8)
Tournament team families are required to volunteer with concessions during the home
tournament.

LITTLE LEAGUE WRL (9-10 years)

Practices/Games will be held 2 times per week. Exact days of the week and times will be announced
at parent meeting.
For this program to be successful Parents Coaches are Needed. Please consider volunteering.
Parents are needed to work the concession stand on game nights.
Season starts early May and ends in July.
The 9/10 Little League will again be participating in a league that includes Black Creek, Clintonville,
Oneida, Seymour, and Shiocton this year to create a more competitive league that will help with the
transition to playing Little League 11/12 while competing against children their own grade/age level.
The players will do the pitching at this level.
The SBA will provide bats, helmets, and catching gear to the players as needed.
The early part of May will be designated for practices

First games will start roughly the first week in June and run through mid-July. There is travel required
for this league.
This league is not completed until Mid-Late July so plan accordingly.
There will be playoffs and a championship game!

Games will be played on a regulation field with 60-foot bases and a 46-foot pitching distance.
Games will be played at Rock Ledge Park Diamond #4 and at various locations of teams
competing in the Wolf River League.

Parents are responsible for the transportation of their players to and from the games.

SBA may determine not to form a 9-10 little league team if there are not enough boys signed up or
if there is no league/teams to play. Full refunds will be issued in this scenario.

 

9U Tournament Team Add-On (Black Creek League playing children)

For team members of the 9U Tournament Team who have been notified already. The tryout process
has already been completed for this year.

Only select this option if your child is on the 9U Tournament Team and is also participating in a Black
Creek summer league program.
9U Tournament Team players must also register for and participate in Little League (9-10 WRL)
Tournament team families are required to volunteer with concessions during the home
